Corrections

A dedicated channel for error reports exists for one reason: mixing them in with general comments makes a report too easy to lose track of, especially once it needs to stay linked to one specific page. Testing a recipe and checking a regional claim before publication catches most problems, but not all of them. A quantity gets typed wrong, a step reads as unclear once someone actually tries it, or a point of culinary history proves more contested than the page first suggested. Reports filed here are matched directly to the entry in question.

What Makes a Report Useful

Identifying the entry comes first — the page address or the recipe name, stated plainly enough that there's no doubt which one is meant. After that, the problem itself needs spelling out: a wrong quantity, a confusing step, a time that doesn't match reality, or a historical or regional claim worth questioning. A reason for the objection helps too, and a source, if one is available, helps more.
