Credits
Three things are worth documenting about how this library was put together: the type, the imagery, and the way sources get attributed. None of it is complicated, but it's laid out here for anyone curious.
Typefaces
Headings run in Fraunces; body text runs in Inter. Google Fonts delivers both, and both ship under the SIL Open Font License.
Images
Stock photography and unrelated substitutes are not used on this site, full stop. A recipe or guide still waiting on its own photography gets a designed placeholder tile instead, and no image is pulled in by hot-linking it from another website — what does appear was either shot for Indianthrows directly or licensed for that purpose.
Source Citations
Rather than collecting citations into one master list disconnected from the claims they support, a historical or regional statement that needs sourcing carries its citation at the bottom of the very page making that statement. Source and claim stay next to each other that way.
Everything else on the site — the recipe text, the technique guides, the regional research — is original writing produced for Indianthrows, except where a page names a specific outside source.
